South Northants Business Forum

One of the prime objectives of the SNBF is to provide a vehicle for business leaders in the area to voice their opinions and needs directly at district, county and national level. The growth plans and changes that are proposed for South Northants will have a dramatic effect on the area over the coming years and it is essential that local businesses, both large and small, work together at this time to make the most of the commercial opportunities that will present themselves.

A further key driver for business in the area is the rapidly emerging South Northamptonshire Enterprise Board (SNEB). SNEB will encourage, nurture and support new business start-ups by providing access to experienced business leaders, and the relevant agencies that can provide formal assistance and support.

South Northants Enterprise Board

The aim of The South Northamptonshire Enterprise Board (SNEB) is to inform, encourage and motivate businesses and entrepreneurs in South Northamptonshire. It takes forward the agenda of the South Northamptonshire Business Forum.

SNEB has been created with the support of: -
Ø Northamptonshire Chamber and Business Link
Ø East Midlands Development Agency and The Northamptonshire Partnership
Ø The Local Strategic Partnership and South Northants Business Forum
Ø Brackley Vision and The Towcester Partnership.
These bodies are supporting SNEB because it has a specific remit: “…..to inform, encourage and motivate businesses and entrepreneurs in South Northamptonshire.”

SNEB will encourage a spirit of innovation and exploit opportunities arising from our location at the centre of the Oxford-Cambridge Arc. We aim to be part of Europe’s most successful knowledge-based local economy, rivalling “Silicon Valley” in the US.

SNEB will encourage hi-tech businesses to locate in the area, one of the keys to which is the recently opened Silverstone Innovation Centre - designed to benefit the Brackley/Silverstone/Towcester axis - the very heartland of “Motorsport Valley.”

SNEB is now seeking to recruit a permanent Board made up of members who have the special skills, experience and contacts to help this initiative to prosper. We seek business leaders who can help frame the business agenda in South Northants and make key decisions to influence the growth agenda of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, MKSM Growth Area and West Northamptonshire UDC.
